• Look for damp spots along the sewer line route. Also use your nose to detect foul odors. Either of these issues can signal septic or sewer line damage. • Check the exterior of your home for puddles or sudden growth in grass or other plants. Both signs point to a water leak, and you will need to contact a plumber for repairs.
• Be alert for damp spots on walls, puddles, dripping sounds and fluctuating water pressure. Any of these signs might indicate a broken or leaking water pipe in your home. Leaks can lead to the growth of mold and mildew, and they should be addressed immediately.
• Check your water meter for sudden spikes in usage, which can indicate an undetected water leak.
